SFCFS supported on SLES10SP2 on a Xen dom0 ?
I am considering a use case with a new project. I need this information quickly to understand if Veritas supports this or not and or any issues.
cluster nodes:- Intel machines running SLES10SP2 with Xen kernel (xen native to sles from novell) in dom0
Storage Foundation Cluster Filesystem provides cluster filesystems on SAN Luns shared.
We create Xen Virtual machines (domU) on those Cluster Filesystems meaning they boot from that filesystems and also have application data on CFS filesystems.
uname -a output on sample machine (dom0) is below:
Linux hostnameabc 2.6.16.60-0.39.3-xen #1 SMP Mon May 11 11:46:34 UTC 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
If this is not supported, we are considering OCFS2 (that is free and part of SLES10) but I would love if above is supported.
If instead, SLES10SP1 is supported on SLES11 are supported also let me know.
If it is supported, let me know if it is supported with 5.0MP3 or upcoming 5.1.

SFCFS supported on SLES10SP2 on a Xen dom0 ?
After posting this, I read the below document on Xen and 5.0MP3 support:
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/318227.htm
From this document it is clear that even VXFS leave about CFS is not supported.
Is this just due to no demand from customers or a technical limitation.
If we want to do this, can this be quickly qualified for support by Symantec.

Hello,
It might be because of both, it might not be even tested.....
You will need to raise an enhancement request, you should get a link somewhere from Symantec.com website... Not able to recollect from my favourates...
Also, I won't presume this would be quick as the testing will need to pass through many stages & justification of needs to support this...
