SFM_Services_XPRTLDS starts but monitor fails

Hi all,

I have a three node cluster running VCS 5.1

[root@node-3 ~]# had -version
Engine Version    5.1
Join Version      5.1.10.0
Build Date        Fri 01 Oct 2010 08:30:00 AM CEST
PSTAMP            5.1.100.000-5.1SP1GA-2010-09-30_23.30.00

On the third node I can't get the service SFM_Services_XPRTLDS up and running.

It starts, but the monitor fails:

[root@node-3 ~]# /opt/VRTSsfmh/adm/xprtldctrl status
running
[root@node-3 ~]# /opt/VRTSsfmcs/config/vcs/xprtld_standalone/monitor.sh 
offline

The monitor basicly calls this command:

[root@node-3 ~]# /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/xprtlc -l https://127.0.0.1:5634/world/ping
Security initialization failure. Unable to get credential.

It seems that some configuration file is broken. I never really cared about this service, because it was just there and running. So I've no idea how to dig deeper. Can someone help me with this issue?

Hi,

Are you running VOM (Veritas Operations Manager) on this cluster setup? This is setup when VOM management server is made highly available using Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).

If you are not having VOM MS setup on the cluster, then these can be safely removed.

Let me know if you need any more details on the same front.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm running VOM as HA service in VCS. Sorry, I forgot to mention:

Hi,

As of today VOM does suppot CMS HA only across 2 nodes. Can you please confirm if the same issue is seen for the other 2 nodes as well?

It would be nice if you can paste the o/p of /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/xprtlc -l https://localhost/world/getvitals from all 3 nodes.

Once i can see the o/p we can get to the next level, mostly where we will remove the third node from the SG system list itself for the VOM specific SG's.
