Hello, Maybe you tried to

Hello,

Maybe you tried to install the wrong file. When you download the patch from SORT, you need to uncompress it before install (and read the readme file :)

The name of the downloaded file is : sfs-sles10_x86_64-5.6RP1P1-patches.tar.gz

If you uncompress it, the file is now : SFSFS-patch-5.6RP1P1_rc8_2011_08_06.tar.gz

It's in the patches directory.

Hi Gringo, Loic has provided

Hi Gringo,

Loic has provided some good advice.  Patches downloaded from SORT need to be uncompressed first.  Please read the README carefully - this is a multi-stage upgrade - not complicated though.

If you run into any problems, please reach out to your SAMG specialist who can put you in touch with some really helpful folks.
