Due too security the use off ftp is not allowed, is there a way to use SFTP to sent the backup files to another device?
At this moment all back_up are stored locally, which is an issue when the harddisk crashes.

    Hi Luao,

You can use SCP to send backup securely to another device via the db-backup CLI command.  Here is the note about this on page 476 in Symantec Brightmail Gateway (SBG) 8.0 Admin Guide:

    QUOTE:
Note: The db-backup command can back up your appliance with SCP. The Control Center does not offer this option.
    See “db-backup” on page 605.

    HiPaul,

Yes, unfortunately with the current version, you can only use FTP for backup from the Control Center.  You should submit an enhancemnet request.

If the response answered your question, can you please close this thread by marking the response as the Solution.
