Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to install the VEA console as a standalone on a windows server without installing SFW. Or maybe a desktop version?

I looked for SFManager, but it's only available for Unix platforms... and I have a team of windows engineers to be looked after, so if I tell them they'll need to log onto a unix box to manager their SFW, they'll kill me!

cheers

Simply run the product installer, and at the installation type page, select "Administrative Console".

Thanks a lot.
Here are some useful info about the SFW VEA only installation:

install duration   10 minutes (from mapped network drive)
select Administrative Console (2nd install screen)
   specify the target host(s)

can connect to any OS types as long as you have unix vrtsadm credentials and SF installed!
No reboot required
Storage foot print: 320MB

Kind regards

Does a downloadable file of a Windows vea client exist? A download of the entire SF HA product just for the vea client is a bit extreme.

Bill - As far as I know, there isn't a public download link for just the VEA client unfortunately.
