  • 1.  SharePoint Scan is failing before complition

    Hi All,

    Everytime i run the SharePoint scan it stopped  automatically before completion. I need to run the sharepoint discovery scan as i have already given a web url with port number(443) but its giving me results like:

     

    5/9/16 8:34:00 AM INFO Scan started
    5/9/16 8:34:01 AM INFO Started scanning Site: https://<URL>
    5/9/16 8:34:05 AM INFO Finished 6 items, 3,219 bytes; filtered 0 items
    5/9/16 8:34:05 AM WARNING Failed to read https://<URL>; error: Unknown error. Verify if all the services on the server are up and running. Also verify if the URL is valid.
    5/9/16 8:34:05 AM WARNING Failed to complete Site: https://<URL>; error: Unknown error. Verify if all the services on the server are up and running. Also verify if the URL is valid.
    5/9/16 8:34:05 AM INFO Scan finished

    Need a solution to resolve this.

    Did you get anywhere with this?  We just noticed the same thing and the only thing that's changed is patching of the SharePoint servers.

    Check the release notes for 14.0.2 for the list of fixes:

    3906215 Microsoft SharePoint 2010 scans failed with an unknown error.
