I have a problem getting SPS Archiving (SPS2003 SP3 + WSS) to work with EV 2007 SP2 (on Windows 2003 Std Server SP2).

We have a collection of WSS sites and SPS Areas on the same server.

I installed the EV SPS Components and made the EVSVC account local admin on the SPS server. The SPS administrator has made the EVSVC account SPS administrator.

When I run the SPS Archiving task in Report mode on the WSS site, it says that no documents were matched by any rule. I made a rule to match *.pdf.

Does anyone know what the 'SPS Service' on the EV server is for? Do we need it?


Did anyone got SPS archiving to work for SPS2003 SP1 and WSS?
