Shortcut Expiry question

Hello all,
Question to verify.
When activating shortcut expiry on a mailbox task, to remove shortcuts older than 1 year, this means shortcuts that have a creation date older than 1 year will be removed, right?
Example: I have an item that has been archived 7 november 2011. The shortcut sits in my mailbox. When shortcut expiry runs, the shortcut will be removed when I check my mailbox on the 8th of november. Correct?
The site-settings are 'base expiry on Modified date" but afaik that only applies to deleting items in the ARCHIVE, not the shortcuts.
Thanks.
Gertjan

Unfortunately I believe it's based on how storage expiry is set
I could be completely wrong on that but I'm pretty sure it was to keep it in sync with the archive and make orphaned shortcut deletion less of a burden
