  • 1.  SID Sidgen Sysprep

I think I need some enlightenment here...

I read in the 6.9sp1 reference that sidgen is no longer supported and sysprep should be used....butnsidgen installs when setting up a new install of DS 6.9SP1.

So,...what are most folks using to change the SID? Does the SID on individual pcs need to be changed on a Windows domain?

    How are you imaging Vista?

    Thanks for any thoughts etc.

Not sure if this helps, but there is a good explanation here: http://technet.microsoft.com/e...nternals/bb897418.aspx
The SID changers are OK for testing, but they are not supported for production.
Sysprep in Vista does much more than change the SID, and is the only supported way of cloning an image,
