Hi Team,
i was able to create the system image using symantic ghost v8. after i tested the images on the same computers and successfully completed however when i tried the same images on the defferent computers but the same model i was not able to restore. the restore process finishes well but the machines fail to boot. at boot stage it pops a black screen with the message signature failure scrolling down each 1 second.
please help me out.

IBM/Lenovo?
By any chance is this machine an IBM or Lenovo? These machines have a proprietary boot track structure, and to successfully deploy an image of one, it needs to be created with the -IB switch. Recreate your boot disk via the Ghost Boot Wizard, and add -IB to the Parameters line. Then recreate the image from the model machine and try deploying that image.
Thank you,
Randy
Disk or partition image?
Can you confirm whether you are creating an image of the partition or the entire disk?
As Randall mentioned, IBM/Lenovo machines come with a proprietary partition that is part of their "Rescue and Recovery" environment. They are not the only manufacturer who provides a maintenance partition on the hard disk, and it does look as if there is some sort of signature link between your operating system boot process and the manufacturer's maintenance partition.
If Randall's suggestion does not work, you may need to look at options such as removing the maintenance partition entirely and just working with a single partition for your image. This is often more practical in a corporate environment anyway, as the solution to a trashed machine is a quick re-image rather than running a rebuild from a maintenance partition.
If your issue has been solved, please use the "Mark as Solution" link on the most relevant thread.
