    Hi,

I'm looking for instructions on how to perform a silent uninstall of Symantec End Point Agent without supplying a password. I found a discussion with the same title where the modirator (Abhishek Pradhan) sent out instructions via PM, however that thread is now closed.

    Thanks

The Article you posted says that:

"Considerations if an uninstall password is in place
If you set a password for client uninstallation, you cannot uninstall the client silently. Clients with an uninstall password are prompted for the password, which must be entered manually. To uninstall the client silently, disable the password."

How would you disable the password?

The orignal post had a way to uninstall it without needing to provide the password.  Please see:

You can do it using the SEPPrep utility.

It's found on the DVD under \Tools\NoSupport\CompetitiveUninstall

To disable the password in SEPM, select the Clients tab >> select your group you want to remove the pw from >> Policies tab >> General Settings >> Security Settings >> Uncheck Require a password to uninstall the client

if you dont have an uninstall password set then u can forget that doucment

to check if you have ever set that

    Clients
    2. Select your group (or use global)
    3. Location-Independant Policies and Settings, General Settings
    4. Security Settings Tab
    5. Check all Client Password protection options you like and set your password.

if there is no password set, then you can uinstall that using the first doc what i mentioned.
