SIM Not Installing Components

I've run into an issue where the SIM installs and asks all of the pertinent questions but when it comes time to do the actual install it never completes. Also, I never see the migration wizard run. It gets to the point where it begins the installs (Installing 1 of 40, 2 of 40, etc.) and then stops suddenly, and the message changes to Uninstalling 1 of 16, 2 of 16,etc. Finally, it gets to the screen showing the installed components which is blank. There is never any error message.

Any ideas?

What version of .net do you have installed?

There has been a couple of reminders that 3.5 SP1 can "sneak" in through various methods (Windows Update being the primary culprit). SP1 will not work with the SIM.

.NET Version

Jim,
I did have SP1 installed, but after removing it I still encountered the same issue. Rather than spend even more time trying to fix what was going on, I simply removed all of NS 6 to start fresh. I can do that because this is my test environment. Thanks for the help.
