Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

When I start the Symantec Installation Manager, the first and only option I am given is to update. "An update for Symantec Installation Manager (7.0.819) is available"  When I choose to update, it downloads just fine and I get another message that SIM will upgrade and restart when it is complete.  SIM then closes, and I get a Windows Installer pop-up with cmd like options for running executables.  The only option there is OK.  Then nothing.  Opening SIM starts this process over again.

I know I've run into this before, I just can't seem to find the solution again.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hm, this sounds old.  The version after 7.1 was released was 7.1.55, then 7.1.66, and now with SP1 it's 7.1.72.  Are you sure you're not behind a proxy?
