SIM/NS 7 requirements not met (IE7 required)

Hi all.
This being my first time with NS7, please bear with me.
I'm trying to install CMS7 via Symantec Install Manager 7.0.354 in a 2003 R2 server VM on Vmware Workstation 6.
In the install Readiness check I get:
* Microsoft Internet 7 is required
I've tried installing the basic IE7 that comes with an MS update. I still get the error. I then tried IE8 and still get the error.
I cannot be the only one experiencing this, but cannot find any similar entries in the new Juice.
Any ideas?

What exactly is the error
What is the error you get?
In best scenario's, you install and configure windows 2003 server.
Then you download and install all the patches.
Next step is to stop internet security.
Then you can install Notification server 7.

I did just as you explained: Install new 2003 R2 server in VMware Workstation, upgraded to SP2.
Installed nothing else than VMware tools and all critical MS updates (except IE8 in the first place, but tried that too).
It should be completely standard, so i'm wondering why everyone isn't seeing this.
I've chosen some danish keyboard settings, but otherwise this is a standard English 2003 version with IE7 included.

My bad...
Found it - it was just me.
I've gotten so used to IE7 being a "critical" MS update, that I forgot that 2003 server comes with IE6, not IE7.
Manually downloaded and installed IE7, and deselcted the IE8 critical update (along with the .net 3.5 service packs), and install was running.
Requirements - Must no be there !
So long: After the requirement "must be there" § in the installation checklist, we have now to add the "must not be there" § !
Just hope another default "update" from windows update, will not "cancel" Altiris setup capacilities.
One question: What's happen if we install with IE7 ans upgrade IE8 after Altiris7 install?
I guess IE8 will not checkup if Altiris 7 there... Any body try?

I've run the 7 console on IE8
however, I used compatibility mode. I don't have many indepth customizations on my VM so, that isn't really the best test.
