Simple pcAnywhere Question Regarding "Require User To Approve"

We recently changed the pcAnywhere policy settings in our SMP 7.1 SP2 console by removing the checkmark in:

  • Require User To Approve Connection

We understand that machines must check into the SMP to get this new policy.  We would like to spot check a few machines to make sure the policy is getting out there.  Is there a way we can open the agent and view the pcAnywhere policy setting on a machine?  Another way to ask, how we can we see what polcies a machine has by using the agent/plug-in windows?

I don't know of any way to check it on the machine, other then actually just initiating a test and checking it. But to fast track the process Make sure you run a "complete update" in the Resource Membership Update. Verify your PCAnywhere Agent's are ON, including the Update Agent for PCAnywhere. As your machines tickle for updates (typically within an hour) they should receive the updated configuration.

There is a config xml file for pcAnywhere on the PC that should have the config options in it, i think it's in %programfiles% or %programdata% \symantec\pcAnywhere.
