    Hi All,

I am going to design a solution for AV(Ver-5.2.8) for Windows to protect 2 NetApp NAS (Model-V6080).

The following were the points that I need help;-

    1. Is it possible to consolidate all the Symantec AV for NAS in one management console or with existing Symantec Endpoint Protection console.
    2. Is it possible to have offline scan of the data inside the storage.
    3. What could be the system requirement of processing 6-7 TB(Approx) of data transferring from two NetApp Storage. Their team may provide more than one system for this data capacity.

    Thanks.

    With Regards,

    Mrinal Sarkar

N.B.; - I haven't found exact Community for Symantec AV for NAS.

    1. Nope, you can't integrate with SEP, but it is possible to integrate Scan Engine with SSIM.

    Please refer http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH123934&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1291802784129

    2. Not sure

    3. Below is a minimum requirement for Scan Engine to run,

In my opnion a dual core processor with 2-4 GB of memory is adequate

It's not so much the amount of data you have, but more so the average size, and number of concurrent users.  The suggestion above, is only the bare minimum in most cases for a single node, and it's recommended you have multiple nodes scanning file requests.  The product is licensed per user, so you can stand up as many scanning servers as you need to.
