On site support needed in St. Petersburg, Russia

Hello community,

we are using Backup Exec in our company. The main software has been installed on two servers, one of them to be in active use, as well as different client software on different servers or clients.

As the domain is not in our responsibility and the software needs to be on our domain controllers, we cannot influence the installation, we can only use the software. After installation we are trying to get the backups running like we wish, but are only partly succesful.

We are seeking somebody who would be willing to support us on site in St. Petersburg, Russia in different sessions to get the backup scheduled like we wish. Ideas are to have at least the following sessions with this person:

-Adjusting configuration and adjusting the scheduler to get regular backups made to HDD and duplicates to tape (on our library)

-Adjusting the configuration in such way, so we are able to take a certain tape from the library at our need, to place this tape in a safe

-Testing the scenary to switch the library from the first server to the second server, which would be needed if the domain controller connected to our library would fail

-Cover different restore actions needed according to our recovery needs

Is there somebody in our community available in St. Petersburg, Russia who is interested in such support. Best would be if he is able to charge our company for his/her services, we are not unable to make cash payments.

Remote assistance is out of the question, as this conflicts with our company security rules.

Assistance should be either in Russian, German or English language.

I suspect you will need to engage a Symantec partner in your region, our customer care team may be able to help you with this, but you will have to phone or e-mail them as they do not regularly monitor these forums.

OK, I will ask them about this.

Problem for me was that the partner who sold the different softwares was unable to help us with this.
