Hi,

We are running Netbackup6.0 MP4 as Master server and 6 media server running Oracle DB and some dedicated applications.

We are in phase of replacing one Media Server called "Hackle" with new One called "Genx". both the server running same Oracle Application over HP-UX.

We have few test backups of Genx but they are taking around 30-36 hrs to complete successfully...while same backups are done by Hackle in 6-7hrs.

i have googled the issue but could not get the concreat solution. any idea?

regards,

Taqadus.

Have you checked your buffer settings?  Are you backups going over the same network?  What's different between the two servers?

I suppose the problem is in fine tuning of Netbackup Buffers. NET_BUFFER_SZ etc.
