Since installing a new server and going over to endpoint security I am happy in the main.

Howere there are three legacy PC's running XP with without AV are sufficeinty quick - however with it they are near useless with extensive lag & hangs.

They previously ran protection software from a competitive company and they ran at a usable level.

I have deployed the 'minimum protection - high performance' profile to them but it's not stripped back enough.

Can you please advise a thinner level of protection so we can actually make use of these machines ?

when you install SEP, what was the process that was causing the issue?

does the system meet system requirement?

Install only basic protection ,, ie, Antivirus and Antispyware only.

Do not install Truscan and NTP on these machines.

I had no problems installing SEP at all - worked a dream with remote push.

The three machines in question do meet the XP min requirements (just), all the other machines work flawlessly, it's just these older ones that really chug with it (to the level of waiting minutes, not seconds for responses)

The server also runs SMSMSE 7.0

They are non business critical machines running very basic tasks, I have taken the time to refresh the machines and replace network hardware so no other issues are holding them back
