Im trying out backupexec 11.d.
The Exchange Agent is installed and I created a job to backup the exchange server. The Backup is running well, but the performance while backing up mailbox- and information store is slowing down to about 90MB/min. I usually have a rate of 900MB/min on my Backup-Net.
Does anyone has an explaination for this?

Short answer - Don't do Mailbox Backups, just stores backups,. with the Enable Granular Restore option enabled

the are tons of forum threads about extremely slow Mailbox backup performance

If this response answers your concern, please mark it as a "solution"

Hello,

Are you taking a backup on tape or on backup to disk folder?

I am having the same problem, under our setup in BE 10 it took us 3-5 hours and now with BE 11 it is taking 6-10+ hours to backup.

Looked at best practices but found nothing that would help me solve this performance issue.

Could someone point me to what I need to do?
