SLP duplicated storage failed, and need to restart total SLP duplication.
Created: 08 Feb 2013 | 2 comments
I have 2 DataDomain units, and we are using Netbackup 7.5 with ddboost and slp to duplicate all backup.
The secondary site had a total disk crash, and had to be formatted.
Everything is up and running, and slp works just fine, but i missing about one year of images on the secondary DataDomain.
The images cannot be duplicated manually, since they are handles by slp.
Any tips on how to restart the slp, so that all the images that was successfully duplicated can be reduplicated to the secondary DataDomain again?

i guess, as SLP already compleated it own tasks to duplicate, it might have relase the images, and you can do the manuall duplication of the duplicated images.
if you see its not working..
just cancle the SLP or Images then try doing the manual duplication . this should work
nbstlutil cancle -lifecycle <slpname>
or
nbstlutil cancle -backupid <backupid>
try cancleing with One backup Id and duplication .. if that works you can go for SLP cancle and reduplicate it.
You can't re-slp (or restart) a completed SLP . But such a option was high at the wishlist on last years Netbackup customer forum.
You need to duplicate all images using bpduplicate.
Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.
