    if password is set , you cannot. You need to enter the password for stop.

    Put your computer /group of computers in a group and disable password requirement to stop smc service for that group.

    I think you need to be a more precise on your question.

    Do you have the SEPM for that client? if yes then make the chnages in the policy from the SEPM.
    if no then the reigstery option can be used.

    As Pete said that if Password is set for Stopping SMC Service, then SMC Service cannot be stopped wihtout entering the pasword.

    @Ajeet: What do you mean by "if you have registry access permission then you can do", can you please explain this more.

    1.Open regedit;
    2.Change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC\smc_exit_test
    3.Start->Run: smc -stop

    Value of smc_exit_test =0

    thank you all of you

    actually this was package created by manager along with password. and this client computer is network-less.

    So this means you are disabling the password. After doing this stopping SMC won't ask for password and you will be able to stop SMC wihout password prompt.

    This can also be achieved by Creating another Group in SEPM that does not have Password for Stopping SMC Service. Put the Cliet in that Group.

    If Password is set for Stopping SMC, you can not stop this service without the Password.

    @MKN

    If network is not available on that pc, then wht use of
    "This can also be achieved by Creating another Group in SEPM that does not have Password for Stopping SMC Service. Put the Cliet in that Group"

    @Ajeet

    Actually there was no where mentioned about the Network Not Available, If network is not available then you can use registry procedure.

    @MKN

    see this "actually this was package created by manager along with password. and this client computer is network-less."

    That means it's standalone PC, which is not connected to any network
