SMC.Exe Error

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Dear Members!!!!!!!

Sorry if this question has already been posted in Forum.

I am facing a SMC.Exe error in many of th Win XP machines since i have upgraded to MR4MP1a. Every time i login to windows it appears and says Wndows encountered a problem needs to be closed.
All my workstations are patch updated and Defonitions are perfect, no uch risk log...nothing.

Any Solution????

Are you sure the network is not infected to virus?

Turn on the tamper protection if the Symantec is functional. Otherwise try to locate the threat and find a removal tool to solve it.
BUT, if it the matter of virus!

What is the laptop model?

One of the customers has recently experienced similar problem. Are you using IBM thinkpad T62?
