smc.exe program error coming frequently in windows xp while opening any file. After reinstalling sep this problem was solved.
plz tell me cause of this error. i am facing this problem in many computers. 
one error showing "c:\Program Files\comman files\symantec shared\ccL60U8.dll could not be found"

smc seems to be Sygate Agent Firewall which may be installed on ur system.

what version is being used on the client machine?

If the same version on another client is working can you check on one client agent from working machine by copying the dll to one of the affected machine to see if it works. Guess its not registered or corrupted.

As per the Symantec Support i managed to ressolve this issue i created a new pakage and deployed it. This causes due to the improper/file missing at the time of installation.
