  • 1.  SMC.exe running at 50%

    I know there have been several posts about this, but I need an answer. 

    Currently Clients and Server are running 11.0.4202.75, when clients are on VPN, SMC.exe clocks at 50% and never connects to the management server. 

    Right now I am on hold with Support for the past 2.75 hours.  Can anyone help me out here? Case number 411-091-062...

    I read there was a fix in RU5 however my Infrastructure is not ready to be upgraded to RU5 (pending an infrastructure change...removing number of sites and adding a DMZ server).  Is it possible to run 11.0.5xxxx when my servers are 11.0.4202?  And is it supported.?

    is your vpn server terminal server too? how much person connect  to vpn?
    the CPU is %50 is in client or VPN server?

    No the CPU time is on the Client Side, the VPN concentrator is a Cisco 3060 so it isn't running a SEP client at all.

    If i understand true?
    there is a computer with sep. And it is working fine but when you connect to VPN to another Server smc.exe will use CPU more am i rigth?
    what is your OS?

    Your right, As soon as the client VPNs into the corporate network, CPU time goes to 50% utilization and just stays there.  Client OS is Vista x86 SP2.

    I little search and this problem is knowing before. you rigth when you connect to vpn gateway change and diffrent gateway create a problem.
    this problem will fixed RU5

    Upgrade that client to RU5 and see. RU5 client can work under 11.0.4202 server..

    I'm having trouble locating anything in the release notes that indicate this problem was fixed.  Maybe its just been a long day and I am tired.  But could you copy/paste the specific fix from the release notes into this thread.  I would greatly appreciate it.
