SMCservices (SEP 11.06) no not auto start upon boot up

Hi,

I've installed SEP 11.06 on 120 ServerPark@Works virtualized client (Win7 Enterprise)

The PC boots up normally but the SMC services do not startup.

Once we manually start the SMCservices under the task manager, the SEP runs normal. (green dot )

Following are the log file collected ( from windows start up to manual startup of SMCservices)

Previously, we have installed SEP11.04 and the virtualized client will able to operate normally once changing the NDIS registry to other values as suggested by SEP/Citrix PVS

hello do you have attention

hello

do you have attention or fail events in event log (both application and system)

it seems that you have some problems with WMI

also i have a question: did you install SEP on VM manually or it was installed with some VM image

You might want to check to

You might want to check to see if the symantec services are set to "log on" as a certain user. It might be permission related as well. Just an idea.

dear all,

i'll post up the group policy and failure log of system in a while..

i do not think its policy related, as the same physical PC, if boot up from local hdd, symantec will be running fine.

however, if the pc is booted up from network (pxe) to utilize the virtualized OS, symantec would not start automatically.

However, if will run normal after we manually start the SMCservices on each virtual OS.
