    This is soo frustrating.  The Java version on my 7.5 SMP was updated to Java 8 update 45 and now I am no longer able to edit or import software in the catalog.

    I have tried to follow all of the articles relating to the security settings and adding the URL to the exception list with no success.  I turned on logging within the Java console, but the results are foregn to me.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" standalone="no"?>
    <!DOCTYPE log SYSTEM "logger.dtd">
    <log>
    </log>

    I've attached the 2 error that I keep getting, any assistance would be great.

    Hi Igor, yes I did go through this article already, no success.

    With java 8 they have removed Medium security so the only option is High or Very High.  I am currently set at High and Scripting of Java Applet setting is Enabled. Perform security revocation is set to Do Not check.  I added the URL to the exception list, both FQDN, ip and local host to see if that made any difference at all. But unfortunately nothing has changed.

    This is very frustrating and I am unable to edit or import any packages.

    Hi msigler,

    did you check this KB as well?:

    For version 7.5 the fix has been included in 7.5 HF3, which can be installed via Symantec Installation Manager.

    If nothing helps, then best way will be to ask support.
