  • 1.  SMG ( Control Center Service Fails to start )

    Hello All,

    I have freshly installed Symantec_Messaging_Gateway_OSrestore_10.5.1-2_Linux_Int.iso in my Virtual envoirment ESXi ( 5.5.0 , 1331820). After Configuring it it in the CLI when the machine is rebooted the control center service fails to start and as a result I am unable to service it in the web browser. Is this version of SMG not supported with this particular version of ESXi ? Please find the attached screenshot.

    Yup, the release notes confirm support for ESXi5.5

    Also, I can't seem to see that screenshot?

    As an aside, it might be worth bearing in mind that services stopped from the CLI must be started from CLI:

    Please find the screenshot of the error attached. How can I fix this issue ?

    Thanks for the reply . I am trying to start it from the CLI as you can see in the screenshot but it fails I have reinstalled it couple of times but the issue is still persistent. the allocations of resources is also sufficent.

    As you've reinstalled a couple of times already, have you tried setting up the SMG using the OVF template Symantec provide instead?
