SMG got message queue larger than 1 GB.

My product is Symantec Messaging Gateway 9.5
My company set alert notification when message queue over 1 GB and then alert to admin.How can I prove this issue is harm or not harm ?
Please advise.

Do you see any errors similar to these?
[27224] An error occurred while decomposing a message.
[10001] Malloc error while attempting to allocate 7908031 bytes.
[10004] File write error.
If yes, then you may be running into a know issue reported in the following KB article:

The KB also suggests a workaround to mitigate the issue.

Issues like this are harder
Issues like this are harder to troublehsoot without looking at the proper evidence, so the best option is to contact support with a diagnostics from SMG.
