    Hello all,

    Few months ago we migrated our messaging gateway solution from TrendMicro IMSS to Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG). We have been using TrendMicro for number of years, so we needed some time to get better acquainted with SMG. Now, after few months of actively using product, we have few questions regarding product use and (what we find) small annoyances.

    1. In user interface, bunch of text in columns is truncated, showing only partial information (e.g. names of content filtering polices on status page, from/to/message subject in message audit logs …). Is there any way to increase allowed number of characters per column? All administrators that work with SMG use 1920x1080 resolution and there is a lot of empty space in columns with truncated text)
    2. What is the best way to submit to Symantec e-mail messages that passed through SMG, and ended in user Inbox folders, but that we consider as SPAM?
    3. Is there a way using either user interface or command line to report on all encrypted messages leaving our system, all messages with attachments leaving our system or all outbound messages with any kind of delivery failure? Can reporting on those events be automated?
    4. We have configured that all Marketing and Newsletter messages be held in quarantine, and that notification is sent to administrator. We would like to permanently reject or delete some of those messages, based on sender domain, without getting notification. If we try to “Local Bad Sender Domains” option available on Reputation tab, we can delete message, but Symantec still classifies that message as Newsletter and sends notification to administrator. Can this be solved in any way?
    5. What is the best way to whitelist messages that SMG flags as suspected spam? We know that we can change level for suspected spam score, but since we don’t know what score some message gets, and since we came to this level for spam score after tweaking it a lot, we don’t want to do that.
