  • 1.  SMG Scanner Agent service keeps on restarting

    Everyday I received several alert stating the following:

     

    The following system components are not responding/working:

     

    Host                     Component                Problem

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Scanner                  AGENT                    Stopped

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

     

    I want to know what seems to cause the issue. What logs will help me on this.

    Which version of the software is running on the scanner and the control center?

    Hi TSE-JDavis,

     

    We are running the latest version 10.5.2-3. Now we are receiving another alerts aside from Scanner Agent alert.

     

    ======================= ALERT NOTIFICATION ================================             

     

    The following spam filters are older than 1 Days:

     

    Host                     Filter                 

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Scanner                  Body Hash Rules Filter

                             BrightSig3 Rules Filter

                             StatSig Rules Filter

                             BrightSig2 Rules Filter

                             Header Rules Filter

                             Heuristic and URL Rules Filter

     

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

     

    We've disable the spam filter and change the notification recipients on Administrator > Alerts but we still received this every 15 minutes.

    You should really open a case so we can look over your logs. Otherwise you will want to consider performing an osrestore on the scanner since it appears to be having issues.
