Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Is it wise to have the Notification Server also acting as a Site Service, we have about 7000 end devices and are planning on building out the SMP product. What are the pros and cons having the site services on the Notification Server or is it just best practice having the Site Systems hosting all the Site Services?

If you do then it's far easier if the NS is also a Task and Package Server for replicating your images round and also each site should have a Task and Package Server.

If you don't then it's not necessary, the recommendation is for no more than 500 Task Server clients on an NS with Task Services. With 7000 endpoints you only need two Task Servers as they are purely for load balancing and not WAN optimisation.
