SMP 7.1 SP2 MP1 Latest Rollup and Inventory Running Twice?

The last I heard, the v4 rollup is the latest for SMP 7.1 SP2 MP1 and there may not be another pointfix prior to version 7.5's release.  Some of my clients are experiencing that inventory issue whereby it runs twice for whatever reason.  At first I wanted to stay away from another rollup following the installation of MP1 but think I need to resolve this issue to minimize the hit on my clients.  For those running the v4 rollup, have you come across any side effects or known issues?  Thanks in advance!

If you look at this KB article you'll see that a Rollup 5 is planned:

"KNOWN ISSUE: When editing a report the whole 'Parameterized Query' section randomly disappears."

"A fix has been provided with the ITMS 7.1 SP2 MP1 Rollup v5" although the linked HOWTO81832 han't been updated from v4 yet.

From HOWTO81832, it appears Rollup v5 is now available.  Anyone brave enough to try it yet and, if so, any installation challenges or significant side effects to speak of?

Our "Inventory Running Twice" issue was definitely fixed after going to V4.

The double inventory was fixed in v2, which is included in v5

Gee...we're already up to a v6 rollup.  After posting the original message, I decided to see if we could survive without installing any rollups on my SMP 7.1 SP2 MP1.1 server.  I've noticed it but especially when no one's complained about the double inventories thus far, figured why apply a rollup which isn't fully regression tested and could potentially have side effects.  I just don't get why some clients run inventory twice and others are just fine.

Unfortunately, you may not get help from support if you dont do apply the rollups.

Aren't the rollups like hotfixes so you're taking your chances applying them?  If they were stable releases, I would think they'd be offered in the SIM.

They are official releases.  And you should only install them to address issues described.  That said, if you call with an issue that is fixed in a Rollup then you're going to be forced to install the Rollup before Support will work the issue.

Where do i get the rollup V6? Can´t find it to download on the KB.

You have to contact Support.  Just open an incident saying "I want Rollup 6" and they'll send you an FTP link to download it.
