  • 1.  SMP 7.1 SP2 MP1 rollup 11 Site Server on Windows Server 2012

    All

    Has any one sucessfullly installed the site services TASK and PACKAGE to a Windows Server 2012 machine we have plans to migrate to 7.6 in June but in the meantime I had to replace a server which came with Server 2012.

    We have our 4 Altiris 7.6 remote site servers all on Server 2012 with package, task and boot services. They all run fine. Our NS is still on 2008 R2 64bit.

    Current config:

    NS 7.1 SP2 MP1 on Server 2008 R2

    28 Site Servers are on Server 2008 R2 of these 2 Servers that have been replaced and now have Server 2012

    I am currently unable to get the NS to recognize the 2 new site servers. I have even tried to install the Package and the Task server manually, to no avail  So, is there a way to get the ns to see the two 2012 servers before the migration in June

    According to support matrix. I see that Windows 2012 and Windows 2012 R2 aren't supported as Site Servers in 7.1 SP2 MP1.1
