We are having a few users who are reporting that their computers are running slow, while a Delta file inventory is occuring. Typically they see that the HDD activity light is solid, and there is a problem with the computer responding slowly.
We have a total of 8,000 computers in our environment, but I broke the file inventory up into three schedules to split the inventory up. Our settings are:
1.) Send inventory changes (deltas) only - checked
2.) Enable verbose client logging - unchecked
3.) System resource usage - Very Low
4. Throttle inventory reporting evenly over a period of: 4 hours - checked
I would assume we are running our file inventory at its bare minimum, but we are still having users complain. Is there anyway to decrease the foot print beyond what I mentioned?
