With the 'End of Life' taken place for SMS.. I'm I still able to download and apply a license? We are not quite ready for Brightmail. Looks like our contract was issued the 3rd of November. Also when I go into file connect and enter the S/N SMS is availble.

SMS for exchange is not end
SMS for exchange is not end of life. Though you maybe on a version that could be coming to its end of life in which case just upgrading to the newest version would be an option.
If you do not see a more recent version of the product available for download at fileconnect customer care would be able to assist (if there is a newer version avialable).
You can check https://licensing.symantec.com. Customer care would also be able to assist with licensing questions, or issues as well.
SMSMSE 5.0 is coming to end
SMSMSE 5.0 is coming to end of standard support, which means no more 5.0.x updates. You should still be able to download it but Mail Security 6.0 has been the only item people have been seeing in their fileconnect accounts for quite some time now. 6.0 is very much alive and being developed and will support Exchange 2010 soon.
