SMSDOM - Unscanned Release not functioning

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi all,

We are using SMSDOM 8.0.9.151 running on Domino 8.5.3 FP2 x64 and Windows Server 2003 Std Ed. SP2. x64.

We have a "scan error" quarantined document that we wish to release. In one instance, clicking the "Unscanned Release" button is not releasing the attachment.

Other functions are OK - adding comments to the document which holds the quarantined file and downloading the attachment. Usually the "Unscanned Release" function works fine.

Thanks in advance

You will need to make sure that you have the ACL for the savquar.nsf database set up correctly for your user or group to allow an unscanned release.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Unfortunately I am still unable to release the attachment. When I click the button, it appears to "Save & Close" and return to the quarantine view. After refreshing the view, it still shows Restored: no.

I have checked the ACL; I am in a group which has manager access and all roles. The server also has these permissions. I even tried using Full Access Administrator. Other attachments in the database can be released without issue. The application database from which this attachment originates is replicated on a different server where the file was also quarantined but we were able release it from that quarantine successfully.

You may consider looking at the console log to try to find any permissions errors that Domino would report. Maybe also try re-signing the database in the case that there are any issues with the overall permissions in Domino.

Re-signing the database as below did the trick. Thanks for your help!
