SMSMSE Not Updating Virus Definitions

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are having some problems updating the Virus Definitions of the Symantec Mail Security For Microsoft Exchange. The license is still going for 15 More days, but it is on "Warning" status because it is ending soon.

Now i have read on the support that if the license is not Valid it will not update the Virus Definitions, but this license is still Valid for 15 more days, so it should update shouldn't it? Or does it not update because of the warning status, while the license is still active and allowed to be used. I have read the other support solutions but they don't seem to work. The Livestatus updates correctly and says that everything is up-to-date.

Thanks you for your answer.

 

"Symantec mail security for exchange" is listed in the luall.exe that was mentioned in the other topic.

I am now getting this error:

The following updates have been aborted:

> SMSMSE Virus Definitions has 1 aborted update(s).

Reason:

LU1845: This product was not updated due to a processing error.

I have already reinstalled Live Update en tried to rename the Downloads folder, the error is still showing up.

hi,

You can check all of thing but no result received.

Check also the proxy settings of the server. Ensure liveupdsate.symantec.com is allowed

you can raised support ticket on symantec

The problem was solved by re-installing mail security for exchange, we are now getting updates again.
