Hey guys is it possible? I heard that in 12.1 SEP and SNAC have different license can anyone clarify this?

we're planning to install SEP 12.1 RU2 and SNAC 12.1  reporting to 1 SEPM Server, any advice?

Yes you need SNAC licence.

we're planning to install SEP 12.1 RU2 and SNAC 12.1  reporting to 1 SEPM Server, any advice?

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) and Symantec Network Access Control (SNAC) need to be running the same version and build.

Check this artical.

Yes, SNAC requires a different license. You can call support for this and the download.

The install is very simple. Install SEPM than install the SNAC piece.

Hi Brian,

You're talking about the SNAC 12.1 Licensing right?

and one more thing, here's our scenario, we have a SNAC 11.6 running on the environment,

now we want to add the SEP 12.1RU2  functionality, and we already got a license for it, so basically we now have 2 set of license:

License for SNAC 11.6

License for SEP 12.1 RU2

the questions is should we'll just upgrade the SNAC 11.6 to 12.1 RU2 (and push the SNAC 12.1RU2 client packege to the endpoint with SNAC 11.6 to become updated) then install the SEP 12.1 RU2 manager to the same manager of the SNAC? then push the SEP package to endpoint with SNAC 12.1?

Thanks,

Hi,

We already installed SEPM Server but only SEPM for SNAC, our plan here is to make the SEPM server for SNAC be the the same server for SEP. In our case when we look at the SEPM for SNAC there's no options that you'll normally see in SEPM for SEP,.

Thanks,
