I've updated our estate to Endpoint 12.1

I've set up our license file in Enpoint Protection Manager but it is reporting that all my clients are running SNAC and it is alerting me daily becuase we didn't buy any licenses for SNAC.

I can't find where in Endpoint Manager I can disable SNAC on the clients.

SNAC is built-in and free now with 12.1.5. Is this the version you're running? There is a Hist Integrity policy now in the Policies page. You can withdraw this policy if needed but again, this is now apart of 12.1.5 and free.

So what do we need to do to get rid of the alerts?

Do we need to get Licenses for SNAC?

Are you running 12.1.5? If so, no license is needed.

What alert are you getting? Can you share an example screenshot?

I can't share any screenshots, becuase of the security policy here.

    We are running 12.1.5

I get a daily email saying that I do not have enough valid seats to cover all of the computers in my deployment. And it tells me to purchase additional licenses for SNAC.

No license is required for SNAC with 12.1.5/

There are soe default reports that are created upon install. Check your reports page and see if anything is there.

I guess the first question should be, do you use SNAC for enforcement?  Do you have any of the enforcers (DHCP/LAN/Gateway/etc) in place?

If not, and you're only using the Host Integrity policies and your SEPM and SEP Clients are on v12.1RU5, then you should be able to just remove the SNAC license from the SEPM.  This should stop the notifications, but leave you with the HI policy option which now comes as part of SEP12.1RU5.

If you're on any other version of 12.1 (that means anything below RU5 at time of writing) then you'll need to withdraw all Host Intergrity policies

We aren't using SNAC. We just use a host integrity policy.

How do I remove the SNAC license from SEPM?

    Hi,

I see some confusion in this thread about SNAC and HI.

Before RU5, HI was part of SNAC, thus you needed SNAC license to use HI.

Now HI is part of SEP RU5, thus you should not need a SNAC license but the migration kept it.

AFAIK, it should be enough to disable SNAC in the settings of each group so the clients won't ask anymore for the license. You may then delete the SNAC.xml file from %Program Files%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc\license\ but I don't think it is really needed to do it.
