I have a question with our upcoming project with one of our clients.
The current setup of our client is the following:
server A and server B are both using SNAC 11.0.6200.724 in HA mode. current capacity is 7000 clients.
They are using a common database which is a MS SQL 2008.
They have 2 LAN enforcers ad 1 gateway enforcers.
Now they purchased SEP 12.1. RU2 from us and we are going to integrate them with they're current SNAC setup.
Also the license for both SEP and SNAC will be both 12000.
Now they will setup a new vm that will accomodate the 12000 clients.
Please correct me if I'm wrong with my ideas:
1. I will install SNAC 12.1 RU2 then install SEP 12.1 RU2. Or Do i only install SEP then have both SEP and SNAC license activated?
2. Use sylink replacer for 11.0.6 SNAC clients to point them to the new server.
3. Use the database used by SNAC 11.0.6 and use it for the SNAC/SEP 12.1 RU2 server. But is this possible? Or I have to still upgrade the 11.0.6 to 12.1 RU2 so that the database will also upgrade and eventually be used for the new server?
4. I'll just point the enforcers to the new SNAC/SEP server.
Im just new with this scenario
