This issue has been solved. See solution.

Can I use the database used in 11.x to be used in SEPM 12.1?

Or they should be both 12.1 version?

If possible? would there be no effect on the policies from 11.x to 12.1?

hi Brian,

I have server A that is 11.x while server B is 12.1

Im thinking to do an HA between the two and then transfer the clients to server B

you can two SEPMs as load balancing i.e these SEPM will have one DB instance . FOr this you need to use SQL as an DB. Both the SEPM have to be on the smae version.
