SNMP Test on device hanging
Hi everyone,
My company is eager to start using the agentless inventoy through snmp.
The problem is it doesn't seem to do much at al. When I go to agentless inventory and try to test one of the entries in the data mappings table it does nothing. I choose test on device, enter the ip ( or host name) and click on test and then it just keeps loading whitout giving any error or entry in the logs. I know that the snmp is enabled on that device and are known through the network discovery.
I asked a colleague who works also works with the management platform in an other company to test it in their enviromnent and he got the same result, nothing.
Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong here?
We are running symantec management console Version 7.1.8280.

Same problem here. No matter what information I put in to test, the popup screen shows a spinning wheel forever, well at lest for 5 minutes before I decide to close the window. Doesn't seem to be working.
