We have been testing SMP 7.6 for a while and got to the stage where we were building the live server. The install went through as expected and all was working, or so we thought. When we came to start configuring software when we opened the software catalog menu we get
What we expect and what we get on our DEV box is
I have checked the menu in settings and the one DEV server menu points to
/Altiris/ActivityCenter/Default.aspx?viewGuid=0b9ae490-217c-48df-8f7f-2cda1cdd2a00&manageCatalog=1
If I create a menu item with this as the URL we get the same result as the software catalog menu on the dev box as you would expect. So all the required components are on the server I am assuming.
The Actual Software catalog menu on the new server is pointing to
/Altiris/Console/MidFrames.aspx?TreeGuid=a57fb0e9-0676-4e00-929a-6bb37dc1f888&RootNode=da38eb36-122d-4961-8d94-0311f831280c
we get an error in the event log that starts as follows, when we access sthe software catalog menu

at Altiris.NS.Services.CoreServices.ResourceService.GetFilterTreeItems(List`1 resourceTypes, List`1 itemsLoadData)
If I search the item table I can find "da38eb36-122d-4961-8d94-0311f831280c" but "a57fb0e9-0676-4e00-929a-6bb37dc1f888" is non existant.
We have run a repair on the install with no difference.
Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?
