This is the message I get in the eventviewer:

Faulting application BkupExec.exe, version 11.0.7170.0, faulting module msvcr71.dll, version 7.10.3052.4, fault address 0x00010496.

I've recently replaced the unit after getting \Device\Scsi\Symmpi1 error.

I ran into this problem just recently and nothing had changed in my infrastructure. And it only happened on the Media Server - it doesn't happen on any of my admin workstations.

A quick search found this: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/289813.htm

Which suggests a possible corrupt profile. I ran the Admin Console under another user account (mine instead of Administrator) and it didn't crash.

I have not had a chance to wipe the profile and see if the problem goes away.
