The software is currently experiencing temporary technical difficulties

Mail Security for SMTP
We regularly get the Conduit error message "The software is currently experiencing temporary technical difficulties, please try again later."  It goes on as long as an hour. Mail appears to deliver during this period.
Any ideas?

I am also seeing this exact error on our SMS8340 log about couple times a day.

Does anyone have a solution or more information on this error?

SMS8340 V.7.6.1-14

My guess is that this message indicates an error when downloading the latest virus/spam definitions files from Symantec. It would be nice if someone from Symantec to confirm this or give us some more info.

Thanks for your reply and your hypothesis and your deduction is the best I've seem. 


Anyone from Symantec support is monitoring this forum please chime in?

I found this issue from Symantec Knowledge Base


Cause : This is a temporary connection issue when downloading the Anti Spam Rule Sets. 


Solution : If this appears only now and then, this can be ignored. The technical difficulties are temporary.
