Hi Experts

 

Need a help ,1  i have installed Symantec Management Console 7.5  on win2008 R2 

2 Have installed all Altiris agents

3 Then have installed plugins as well on all my clients

4 I am trying to depoy Insync client msi on my all my client 

5 For which I have created policy please see the snap below.

 

Any help on same to resolve my issue will be appreciated. FYI ... I have installed this on my own for first time and I am new this please guide step by step.

You should remove the c:\ from the front of the msi name. The command line will be executed in the context of the folder where the msi file is downloaded to. You should have imported the msi file into the Software Catalog so the Detection Rule was created. Then you can run the Compliance Check regularly and the Remediation (the install command) will onlyrun if it needs to.

Thanks for the reply on this , I had not specifed the location earlier but didnt work either , Also my software catalog folder were I specified the location of the shared drive which had the inSync MSI In it and had firefox MSI as well in same folder. So I deleted alll the content of the folder and then placed inSyncMSI again in it for sake of isloation so on agent it shows download is successfull but cant install it

Also if I try to install it locally using CMD by giving path it works fine which shows script is working fine

 

Please guide me step by step as I am new to this

Are you importing the msi through the software catalog?  that's where you want to start.

Here's my guide for deploying java 7.  It may help you through the steps on how to deploy software.  If you're just using an MSI you probably want to look at steps 10-14.  Then you can deploy via quick delivery or managed delivery.
