Deployment Solution

We are going to deploy the software through altiris at remote site. Task goes to the remote client.

I have seen the task at remote system but client task doesn't know from where to get the package.

Source location is empty.

That why client retrying to download the package again and agian but it not found the source.

So we can't able to deploy s/w at remote location.

Please help.

We have already configure the site server for remote location

Yesterday i have tried it.

Find the attach error snapshot.

Source location is blank.

Retrying download

Hi Sumit,

Please check in package server Is it properly working or not as well all packages are transfered?

If it is working then check for the particular Package or software it should be reflected in Package server software list.

You can check this by package server tab of Symantec Management Agent on the machine which has configured as Package server.

As per attched screenshot, your package could not found the source, it doesnt know from where to download the package, it will try again and again for download the software.

ok let me know have you installed same software to other location which have package server configured?

Meanwhile you can do one thing, just restart the Symantec Management Agent service from control penal so that package server will retry download the package from NS Server. Once your package server have the software which you want to deploy, client will have to source path to download the package and it will be deployed.

We have already installed the software on other location and it working.

I will try the same.
