    Hi all,

    I'm a newbie in Altiris and currently encountered a problem on grabbing the software inventory report in Altiris.

    Actually, all of my computers are able to execute "Collect Software Inventory" weekly and I can tell the result is Succeeded from the agent task history itself.

    When I access to Report --> Discovery and Inventory --> Software/Applications --> Software --> Installed Software; the report from there looks was not up to date and the "Dicsovered since" is always sticked onto July 2013.

    In this occasion, how could I get the latest snapshot on the software inventory report?

    If its a delta scan and no software changes have been made, then nothing new will be displayed.

    Another possibility is that the clients are not sending data, so check their local queues for the presence of NSE files.

    The SMP itself may not be processing NSE files, so check its queue.

    Also check the SMA & SMP logs to see if any errors or warnings are being recorded that could prevent data processing.

    Thanks for your comments and suggestion but sicne I am a newbie, I would like to confirm below.

     

    1) Where can I check if the queus is currently working? How could check the NSE files in SMP?

    2) Where can I check the SMA and SMP logs?

    The SMA's file queue is located within the "path\Altiris Agent\Queue" directory as a folder which identifies the SMP.
