Well I'm in the middle of creating our software portal environment for the company I work for.. I've been testing for about 2 weeks now and the functionality is working great, I think it's definitely going to cut down on our helpdesk tickets in vast amounts. I'm to the point where I'm ready to send piloting this to managers and staff so they can also give feed back. There is where I come into my dilemma... We are in an extremely organized environment when it comes to AD, and we've set up Dynamic Sync Groups per department to OU relation. I would like to automate creating the manager accounts for the software portal, and somehow populating their "Direct Reports" field with the members of the corresponding DSG..
Does this seem at all possible or do the users really have to manually enter their direct reports? Some of these managers have many people within their department and could be a nightmare to manually enter.. If I could get the SQL schema I could write some query to populate the tables myself if that is even possible..
Any suggestions??
